About the Event

Lifestyle -or style of life- is what we might call character. That is the always repeated way, the guiding line, the way in which one behaves towards the problems of life.

"Lifestyle priorities do not describe who you are. They do represent the decisions you have made throughout your life that affect the way you attempt to find a sense of belonging and significance." Jane Nelsen

During this workshop, we will explore a Positive Discipline activity called, the Top Card, to identify our usual behaviors when we are feeling secure and what we may do when feeling insecure or threatened about our sense of belonging and significance in the world, and how others, including children, are affected by adult decisions and behaviors.

Do you know your lifestyle choices? How do they influence your teaching style and the lifestyle choices of your students?

"There are assets and liabilities to each style that affect how we interact with our students. With understanding, we can learn to build on the assets and avoid getting hooked into the liabilities of our style." Jane Nelsen
